When you use the Budget Builder or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, building location (street address, city, state, ZIP), and the configuration details you provide. We also collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited to help us understand how visitors use the site.

How we use your information

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in/consent data are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. We only share information with service providers who help us operate the website, send notifications, or process data on our behalf (for example, our hosting and messaging providers). We may also share information if required by law or to protect our rights.

Text messages

If you provide your mobile phone number, Dekker Construction may send you transactional text messages about your budget request, estimate, or project. These messages are limited to project-related updates and are not used for marketing without your explicit consent.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working properly and to understand how visitors interact with pages. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work as expected.

Google Ads measurement (optional)

We use Google Ads to reach people looking for pole barns. When a budget request is saved successfully, a Google tag on this site may send Google a record of it, made up of a request ID and a budget value. This can fail, for example if your browser or an extension blocks Google's tag. The record does not include your name, address or project details.

The request form has an optional checkbox for ad measurement. If you check it, your browser converts your email address and phone number into hashed (scrambled) values before they go to Google with that record. We also signal to Google that you allowed this use of your data. If we can't save your choice with your request, we treat the box as unchecked. Google uses the hashed values to match the request to ads you may have seen or clicked, so we can measure our advertising results. The checkbox covers only this measurement use. It does not give permission for ad personalization, and it does not sign you up for calls, texts or emails. We never put these values in web addresses or send them to Google Analytics.

The box starts unchecked. If you leave it unchecked, we send no email or phone data to Google and signal that you did not allow it. Your estimate request goes through either way. The checkbox does not turn other Google advertising features on this site on or off, such as the Google tag's use of cookies described above. You can limit those through your browser settings. Agreeing to text messages does not count as agreeing to this. With each request we keep your choice, when you made it and the version of the wording you saw. Google describes its own use of data in Google's privacy policy.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to respond to your request, provide follow-up services, and meet legal or business record-keeping requirements. You can ask us to delete your information by contacting us.

Your choices

You can update or delete your account information from your account page, or contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
